Blue Eyes Are Beautiful in Spain

I'm watching TV.

If its a cleaning advertisement, house cleaning, laundry or some terrible stomach problem – then the ‘actresses’ used have dark hair and brown eyes.

However, if it’s a beauty product, for hair, for skin, for shaving (showing lots of skin) – then the girl (usually VERY young) has dark hair and blue eyes.

Its uncanny.

I’ve spoken to a few people about it. They say that after Franco, the media turned its gaze upon the daring Scandinavians, in particular the free and frivolous Swedes. The beauty ideal was blonde and blue eyed and preferably naked.

I understand.

Spain, you need a big hug.

How about green eyes? Do you reckon they'd use my eyes to advertise washing up liquid? Well, it's wworth asking I suppose.

You eyes are brown aren't they?

Yep...

:) K! I haven't seen green eyes on the TV. Maybe I wasn't looking for them.
My eyes are indeed 'caramel' - actually - I was offended horrendously once because Albert saw 'Rani's eyes on a billboard in India and said 'wow - her eyes are like honey.'
He's NEVER said anything remotely poetic about my looks EVER. It was a depressing moment.

But you know what I was thinking about lately - the book of love languages - and that, no matter how much we say 'love ME, love ME!" it will never be enough - and that book was great because it taught that the way to feel love - is to GIVE it. Not to take it. I don't feel 'love' from someone else really. I can know it. But its not the same.
I feel love when I give it. I like this and it makes me whole instead of demanding 'me, me, me!'
Love

Wow!! Thanks for commenting about the book. I've found it really helpful too. I've noticed the same thing with money too - the more I give away the more I get back. We are really due a chat soon. I'm going to ask for your phone number on facebook right now so that we can discuss this, and Luke 6 v 37-38:

37"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

....and that discussion thingy you put out on facebook that I've been doing a lot of thinking about recently.

Oh and - what's the deal with Albert!!??? Flippin, she has eyes like honey. What the ****!! Next time you watch a Bollywood film, I insist that you stare gooey eyed at the screen and state the following for any of the drooly men on the screen:
"Wow, his hair is as black as a raven. I would do anything to run my fingers through his god-like locks."
Next, turn to Mr Vila and eye him up and down using your best snobby look and declare:
"You could really do with a hair cut soon love."

IN YOUR FACE!!!!!
