It has taken til the end of January for snow to appear this year. Its very white, beautiful, vivid. And cold in the air!
This morning I am baby sitting a puppy pug dog. She's beautiful! Her name is Borla, or in English, Pom Pom. She played, ate a bit, drank a bit, played some more and then fell fast asleep. She's a lot like any baby. I want to keep her!
The weather has been so lovely in the middle of the day lately that we decided to take our lunch in the park. Fruit, iced tea, milk buns, yogurt, nuts. Yummy and sunny!
So finally I've succumbed to my love of curly hair. I'm officially a curly tops!
After the 6th of January, the shops drop between 30 and 70% and people go crazy. Well today I found a pair of red boots. So beautiful. Sales make people think that its a once in a lifetime chance. I wasn't looking for red boots. I certainly don't need them. But wow. At half price, it makes you waver on that fine line between fantasy and reality. Oh and for the first time since living here, I asked someone to explain a phrase I didn't understand, in Catalan! I usually ignore it. The girl froze and called her friend who spoke English. (The real problem will be convincing Albert about those red boots! But that's just betwee us.)
The other night I saw a tow truck parked in a non-parking zone. Then I saw the driver browsing in one of the bazaars. Five minutes later he was stopped in front of a car double parked. Who is going to book the tow truck?
Jett started faster this time and finished in the middle of the pack. He's certainly improved in the last 6 months. It was a gorgeous day and we had a great view of the surrounding towns.
Thanks Kate for the recipe! It's delicious.
Soon sweets.
Here, as the bell strikes in the new year, you have to eat a grape for every toll of the bell. Then you drink the local bubbly, cava. Have a wonderful new year everyone!
